For the longest time I have LOVED the world of art. When I was a little girl I had an obsession with coloring and painting, which led to me becoming the most artistic of my high school senior class. I kept my passion going by majoring in Graphic Design and minoring in Photography at SUNY Oswego. Funny thing is Brit has a very similar story! Brit is a super talented creative and followed her love for art to R.I.T. and little did she know that would also led her to the love of her life, Ray!
Read MoreI love experiencing new wedding venues because I don't always know what to expect. It keeps the day exciting for me and keeps the creative juices going all day long. MKJ Farms had so much to offer! All the ladies got ready in the house on top of the hill and the views were INCREDIBLE!!!!
Read MoreThis engagement session was definitely a special one!!! It was a session of MANY new firsts for me! The first time exploring Hamilton College/Root Glen, the first time a couple has brought CHIPOTLE to an engagement session, and the first time a squirrel followed us around for the entire session (and we might have named that squirrel, Guacamole... no big deal).
Read MoreI'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. For Elise + Angus... this couldn't be more true. Angus grew up in Scotland and Elise is from the Rochester area. They both met while working at a YMCA summer camp in the Adirondacks (which can be seen on their ring box).

Read MoreIt's been awhile since I've blogged an engagement session and ironically I have THREE booked this week!!! Now that I'm in the middle of my busy (aka. CRAZY) season... I'm trying to balance shooting 1-2 weddings a weekend and find time to meet with my 2019 + 2020 couples, take engagement sessions and fit in some select few lucky high school seniors.
Read MoreShadow Lake seems to be a popular venue for 2018 and to start it off was Rob + Megan's wedding! Like every wedding day, I like to watch the weather... and for these two rain showers were a 25 to 75% chance of rain on and off all day.
Read MoreOne of my favorite parts of a wedding day is my drive to the wedding. I'm excited, anxious and super pumped to photograph beautiful love all day long!!! Not too long ago I was making this same drive for a past couple's winter wedding at SKY Armory.
Read MoreEvery once in awhile I meet a couple who I instantly connect with. Allison + Blaine are one of those couples who you want to be friends with and know more about. They have traveled all over the world together (even living in South Korea, which is a special place for us all!)
Read MoreThis wedding season is so much different than any other season. It's my first year being fully booked, which means a ton of new venues to explore. Avon Century Barn was a new location I haven't been to before and let me tell you.... I HIGHLY recommend it!!!!
Read MoreHoliday weekends are always a fun time for weddings and for these marines, Memorial day seemed quite fitting. They met while at Aviation Mechanic school in the Marine Corps and live out of state so it was hard meeting up with them until their wedding day. We met at the Memorial Art Gallery to do their first look because the ceremony location was just around the corner (Chapel Hill).
Read MoreIt's been a few months since my last wedding and I'm so happy the wedding season is starting up again for me. I'm still pinching myself that I have nearly 30 weddings this year and 12 already set for 2019!!!
