Webster Park + Gosnell Big Woods Preserve - Rochester Wedding | Colorful, Boho Stylized Shoot

When COVID-19 first started to affect my 2020 wedding season…. I WAS SO UPSET. I felt like my creativity and joy was completely gone and I was so excited to photograph beautiful moments and work with my favorite vendors in the area. I’ve been a part of a couple stylized shoots in the past, but never one I put together and created with my own team of wedding vendors that I love to work with. I am one who is obsessed with color and I wanted to show more unique and vibrant choices with my selections for the florals and menswear. This year I photographed my 100th wedding so when I say I have seen a lot of things… I truly mean it. Many of my couples are more traditional so my stylized shoot was focused on a more “out of the box” vision.

GROOMS- Don’t be afraid of color!!! Yes, black, gray and navy are pretty darn popular… BUT you can always add your own style with a unique coat that has texture, pattern or color. Adding a floral tie or something with more your personality is completely okay and you should stand out from your groomsmen. Remember it’s your day so standing out from the crowd is highly recommended in my opinion. This winter I want to create a blog post just focusing on this because it’s so important!

FLORALS- if you like color, don’t be afraid to embrace it!!! Yes, neutral colors are more timeless, elegant and classic.. but if you are drawn to the more vibrant and unique florals, don’t shy away from it. If you want a floral crown or florals in your hair… DO IT!!!! It’s so easy to remove (just like a veil) so it doesn’t need to be in every single photo.

Below is a list of all the talented wedding vendors who were a part of my first mini stylized shoot!!! Can’t wait to do something larger in the future!!
